Becoming a member

Membership isn't signed up for online. Because the cooperative is for serving NSCDC personnel and contributions are deducted from payroll, enrolment is handled by the NHQ Secretariat against your official record. Here's how it works.

  1. STEP 01

    Confirm your eligibility

    Any serving NSCDC officer with a valid IPPIS/payroll number may join. You will need your service number and a phone number that can receive SMS.

  2. STEP 02

    Visit your command’s cooperative desk

    Complete the membership form at your command’s cooperative desk, or through the NHQ Secretariat, and choose your monthly contribution rate (from ₦5,000).

  3. STEP 03

    Deductions begin at source

    Once the Secretariat registers you, your contribution is deducted from payroll on the next cycle — no manual transfers, no missed months.

  4. STEP 04

    Sign in on the mobile app

    Once registered, download the NSCDC Cooperative app and sign in with your service number and a one-time SMS code. Savings, loans, guarantees and dividends all live there.
